About Us

Balladeer Labradors is a small hobby breeder located in Montpelier, Virginia and proud member of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac. We only breed one to two litters of puppies a year, for the purpose of keeping a puppy for show conformation. Our puppies are raised in our home where they receive ongoing stimulation and exposure to new experiences. This helps the puppy to gain confidence and be trained and developed into a dog you cherish. We strive to raise sound Labradors with excellent temperament and a drive for retrieving and obedience work which meet the American Kennel Club (AKC) breed standard for Labradors. Our dogs come from proven show lines in conformation, are genetically tested and receive their clearances for hips, elbows, heart and eyes. We take the placement of our puppies very seriously and require a completed adoption questionnaire.
